Our story

Support that starts with the person

Gippsland Care Collective was built on a simple idea - that support works best when it starts with something a person already cares about. For many of the people we work with, that starting point is gaming, creating and being part of a community.

We deliver NDIS Core supports, capacity building and allied health in Bairnsdale and across East Gippsland, working hand in hand with ESports Collective so participants have a real place to belong, take part and grow.

We meet people where they are, and help them get where they want to be.

What drives us

Our approach

We believe in flexible, goal-led support that respects each person's pace and choices. Some participants want a support worker beside them, others want to work toward doing things on their own - both are valid, and both are what we are here for.

Interest-led

We start with what a person enjoys, because engagement is where real skill-building begins.

Flexible settings

Support at ESports Collective, in the community, or at home - whatever works for the person and their plan.

Independence-focused

We aim to build capacity over time, so people need us less and do more on their own terms.

Part of something bigger

Working alongside ESports Collective

ESports Collective is Bairnsdale's gaming and community hub - weekly groups, daily drop-in sessions and tournaments, open to everyone. It is where a lot of the participation we support actually happens.

Our NDIS supports help participants get there, join in and build the confidence to keep showing up - whether they start with support beside them or take part on their own.

Where is Gippsland Care Collective based?

We are based at 58 Macleod Street, Bairnsdale, and support participants across East Gippsland including Sale, Maffra, Stratford, Orbost and Lakes Entrance.

Who does Gippsland Care Collective support?

We support NDIS participants who want to build skills, take part in the community and work toward greater independence - many of them neurodivergent young people, though we welcome anyone whose goals fit what we offer.

Do you only work at ESports Collective?

No. ESports Collective is where a lot of participation happens, but we also deliver supports in the wider community and in participants' homes - wherever works for the person.
