Group Activities

Group Activities are regular shared sessions where connection and skills grow together - a chance to be part of something steady with the same group, week to week. It is where friendships form, confidence builds, and taking part becomes a habit rather than a one-off.

Many of our group sessions run at ESports Collective in Bairnsdale, built around gaming, creating and shared interests, but groups can just as easily happen out in the wider community. The focus is belonging - showing up, being part of the group, and building the social confidence to keep coming back. What are the group activities in Bairnsdale?

What is the difference between Group Activities and Community Participation?
Group Activities are regular shared sessions with the same group, week to week. Community Participation is one-to-one support and transport to help you access the places and activities you choose yourself. Many participants use both.
Do I have to take part in gaming to join a group?
No. Gaming is one thing our groups are built around, but it is not a requirement. We build groups around what people actually enjoy, and if we do not run the group you are after yet, tell us - we might create it.
How are group activities funded?
Group Activities sit under Core supports (Social & Community Participation) in your NDIS plan. We are happy to talk through how your plan applies before you commit to anything.
