Assistance with Daily Life

Assistance with Daily Life is hands-on support with the everyday things that help life run smoothly. That can mean personal care, self care, hygiene and daily routines - but it is just as often about managing transitions between activities, staying regulated when things feel overwhelming, and having someone alongside you as you move through the day. We work at a pace that suits you, never rushing and never taking over.

It does not only happen at home. Support can be out in the community - at the shops, at an appointment, or moving between places - or at ESports Collective, wherever you need it most. The goal is always independence: we build skills gradually through everyday practice, so over time you can do more on your own.

Frequently asked questions

Where can this support happen?
Wherever works best for you - in your own home, out in the community, at appointments, or at ESports Collective in Bairnsdale. Support is not limited to home. We work across East Gippsland, including Lakes Entrance, Paynesville, Sale and the surrounding towns.
How is assistance with daily life funded?
Assistance with Daily Life sits under Core supports in your NDIS plan. We can help you understand how your plan applies before you commit to anything.
What does assistance with daily life actually include?
Anything that helps day-to-day life run smoothly - personal care, hygiene and routines, but also managing transitions between activities, staying regulated, and moving through the day in the community. Always at your pace and tied to your goals, building skills to do more on your own over time.
Can I have the same support worker each time?
Wherever possible, yes. Consistency matters for personal supports, so we work to match you with a familiar support worker you are comfortable with.
